‘the things we have heard’ - disbelieving the ‘voice’ of God - degenerating
from the ‘elementary principles of Christ’ - despising ‘the knowledge of the
truth’ - devaluing ‘the grace of God’ - departing from ‘Him who speaks’ • How
does one know that he is genuinely saved? • Is the basis of one’s assurance
based on justification or sanctification? • Can a believer enjoy the
preservation of God even if he does not persevere in the faith?
